New trends in plastics and composites recycling

Innovative eco-processes Thermosaïc® & ThermoPRIME® to upcycle composite and plastic waste, and face new recycling challenges

In a general context of scarce accessible material and energy resources, Cetim Grand Est developed two eco-processes Thermosaïc® & ThermoPRIME® for the recovery of composite and plastic waste, to help reducing the environmental footprint of materials and support companies in their technological and ecological changes.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ _builder_version=”3.22.3″ custom_padding=”20px||20px|”][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_2,1_2″ _builder_version=”3.25″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat”][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”3.25″ custom_padding=”|||” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_text admin_label=”COURSE OUTLINE” _builder_version=”4.5.7″ text_font_size=”20″ border_style=”solid”]

Topics covered during the presentation:

Features presented from case studies:

  • General context & issues
  • Challenges (environment, economic, industrial)
  • Focus on eco-processes Thermosaïc® & ThermoPRIME®
  • Industrial applications & benefits
  • For further information (ou idéalement traduction de « pour aller plus loin »)

Detailed description

  1. Failure analysis & fluidic networks: Most of failures encountered on fluid   systems are the consequence of a wrong component sizing at design stage. In such a case, analysis of the ruptured component is not sufficient; a global system approach is necessary. The matter is illustrated through water hammer problem and a couple of case studies.
  2. Assemblies “The importance of the correct sizing and the quality of the construction for the good behavior of the networks”
  3. Detection of cavitation “Implementation of a system by non-intrusive method (PVDF)”
