Mitigating Industrial Corrosion Damage

The most powerful cathodic protection software for verification and design

Detailed description:

Corrosion is a redox reaction that occurs naturally and is a detrimental process as it would consume metals, causing the entire structure to be weaker. Corrosion protection (CP) is an important process to control the rate of corrosion. This can be done by either adding more reactive material as a sacrifice or by imposing a current on the structure.

In heavy industries, structures are subjected to extreme conditions such as high temperature or corrosive environment, and this becomes one of the largest expenditures in the industry in which preventive measures would reduce the cost greatly. Therefore, there is a need for companies to understand the basic corrosion and the types of cathodic protection (CP) to control the rate of corrosion of a metal surface and increase the integrity of their assets.

This webinar aims to allow stakeholders to make strategic and educated decisions on cathodic protection systems:

  • A wide variety of applications where the structure is exposed to an aggressive environment (humidity, coastal conditions and more)
  • Verified and validated existing CP system to facilitate decision making
  • Reduction of maintenance costs by evaluating the life cycle of installations

Optimization of the electric potential field signature of offshore vessels and structures

Topics covered during the presentation:

  • Why cathodic protection?
  • Types of cathodic protection
  • Procor and its capabilities
  • Case studies
  • Key takeaway
