From Modelling to Monitoring: An Integrated Approach to Cathodic Protection with Procor
Detailed Description:
Corrosion is a naturally occurring redox reaction that gradually consumes metals, weakening critical infrastructure and leading to costly failures. In heavy industries, where assets are exposed to harsh environments, implementing cathodic protection (CP) systems is vital to maintaining structural integrity and prolonging service life. CP techniques, such as using sacrificial anodes or applying an external current, effectively reduce corrosion rates by controlling electrochemical reactions on metal surfaces.
This webinar will introduce the fundamentals of corrosion and cathodic protection, followed by a deep dive into how Procor, our digital CP platform, supports the modelling, prediction, and design of CP systems. We will also demonstrate how integrated real-time monitoring module in Procor enhances system performance by continuously capturing and analysing electrochemical data from the field (Figure 1). With automated alerts (Figure 2), visual dashboards, and predictive insights, Procor empowers operators to take proactive maintenance actions, optimise anode placement, and prevent corrosion-related failures.
We are excited to demonstrate Procor and its enhanced monitoring capabilities. This webinar aims to equip stakeholders with the knowledge needed to make strategic and informed decisions about cathodic protection systems. By showcasing real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and a redesigned user interface, we will highlight how incorporating a digital monitoring system into CP strategies can significantly improve system performance and maintenance planning. This time, we’re back with a fresh new look for Procor, refined, smarter, and more intuitive than ever, to help stakeholders optimise corrosion protection and ensure long-term asset integrity.
